If you are a business owner, you might be looking into outsourcing some or all of your IT services. There are several different reasons you should consider this. IT Express Services specializes in IT services in North Dakota and throughout the entire country, so here are a few reasons you should look into outsourcing this aspect of running your business.
Control and Reduce Your Operating Costs
When you outsource IT services, you get a set monthly fee. You make that payment each month and that’s it. You will not have to worry about hiring someone, as well as all of the costs associated with that process, and you will not have to worry about training anyone either. This frees up your budget, not to mention your time, to focus on other aspects of running your business.
Outsourced IT services can help reduce security risks and other threats to the safety, security and well-being of your employees and customers. IT services like ours will keep your computers and other equipment up to date on the latest technology, computer hardware and software to ensure that your computer system stays current and does not become a security risk for you, your customers or your employees.
Free Up Your Employees’ Time
If your IT services are handled by an employee who was originally hired to do something else, who is taking care of that employee’s job? Outsourced IT services means all of your employees focus on doing their own jobs, rather than spending time working on computers and other issues that were not in their original job description.
Get Assistance When You Need It
When your computer breaks or your network goes down, what do you do? IT services like ours can tackle these kinds of issues and more so your business’ down time is decreased. This could save you time, money and hassle in the long run. Someone else can handle fixing things while your focus remains on running your business.
Focus on Your Core Company
When you hire us for IT services, this means more of your time is freed up to concentrate on your business and making sure things are running smoothly. We worry about your computers and IT needs while you worry about keeping customers and employees happy.

If you have recently purchased any Cisco equipment, you might be looking into Cisco SMARTnet. This Cisco service is an annual contract that gives customers access to Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) engineering support, hardware replacement options, software updates and more. But is buying into this a smart investment, or should you look into a Cisco SMARTnet alternative?
The answer to this question relies mainly on the size of your business, your annual IT budget and how quickly you need a replacement piece of equipment. For example, if your IT manager insists on a hardware replacement turn-around time of one hour, even the highest tier of Cisco SMARTnet does not provide for that fast of a turn-around time. (The highest tier offers 2-hour replacement services.) Your IT manager might have the needed replacement part on a shelf, a “hot spare,” and could use that to replace the broken part. So this part of the Cisco SMARTnet plan probably wouldn’t do your company any good.
Also, you should keep in mind that Cisco software will not be covered under this service agreement. And when you go with a Cisco SMARTnet alternative, like through IT Express Service, you get support for previous-generation and end-of-life hardware. That way, you get to continue using your older equipment when support is no longer available directly from Cisco. Our IT professionals are Cisco certified engineers.
Your company could save a bundle by going with IT Express Services for our Cisco SMARTnet alternative plan. While Cisco equipment and products offer excellent value, and their tech support is one of the best out there, sometimes the service requirements your company has do not match up with what Cisco offers. A company like IT Express Services might offer a service that is more tailored to your business’ IT needs.
So when you want to learn more about our Cisco SMARTnet alternative plan, call IT Express Service at 877-465-8556 or you can Contact Us.
A SMARTnet® alternative can be a viable solution to the skyrocketing costs of maintaining IT networks. The pressure is on for IT groups to quickly diagnose the problem and restore network operations as soon as possible. For many, Cisco’s SMARTnet® service has been the only apparent way to achieve that.
Network integrity can be critical to the successful functioning of a business. Failure of software or a hardware component can bring the mission critical operation of a business to its knees in short order. SMARTnet® allows IT technicians to contact a Technical Access Center with certified Cisco professionals and troubleshooting tools. It can also expedite hardware replacement options if required. But the cost of a SMARTnet® alternative maintenance agreement for the entire network puts a strain on the bottom line for some businesses.
Some corporations are even taking a chance by risking not having any agreement at all, in order to maintain profitability. This is false savings though, and it’s just a matter of time before a disastrous failure occurs. You really don’t want to go there.
Alternative Network Solutions
A better solution would be to provide SMARTnet® equivalent coverage to the mission critical portion of your network, while covering other parts of the network with appropriate protection that would allow reasonable restoration of those services in a timely manner.
IT Express Services is a Cisco Certified Partner with professional sales and technical support. We can provide you with Cisco’s SMARTnet® alternative support if that is the appropriate coverage for you to ensure the integrity of your network operation. But if a more cost effective SMARTnet® alternative approach would be right for you, we could develop a solution with lower network support costs while still providing you with a comfortable level of reliability.
To get started with a SMARTnet® alternative program today, call us at 877-465-8556.
